About the role
Pan business, this role supports and implements the Business data strategy to deliver Business strategic outcomes. The role will also support implementation of an effective model for Business on data governance, data management and data quality.
What you will be doing (Role Accountabilities)
Data Strategy & Enablement
• Supports the acquisition, processing, integration, and cleaning of data from multiple sources.
• Uses a variety of tools to automate data collection and build reports guided by procedures.
• Undertakes initial data investigation and data analysis in order to identify trends in data.
• Supports the development and refinement of data dashboards and reports.
• Supports the presentation of data insights to relevant stakeholders for planning and decision support.
• Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of data analytics.
Data Transformation
• Input into shaping the Data transformation program
What you’ll need to succeed (Skills & Experience)
Functional Knowledge & Technical Skills
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements on data governance tools and techniques
• Familiar with Data Governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA).
• Knowledge of data models, lineage, and enterprise data platforms.
• Data Lineage: Ability to document and visualise data flow from source to consumption
Business Expertise
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Influence across Business functions on data governance topics.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Data Owners, Stewards, and business units to resolve data governance issues.
• Ability to identify and implement enhancements to data government framework
• Understanding of business-critical data domains (e.g. customer, product, finance) and their operational impact.
• Translating technical data issues into business relevant language for non-technical audiences
