Our ways of working
At BT Group we love coming together to collaborate as a team and recognise our successes. We also want to provide you with the flexibility to work around your home life and interests.
Three together, two wherever
We have two key principles:

1) We believe in being together. This means our office-based colleagues coming together for at least three days a week in the workplace, or with customers. We’d expect you to typically come into your own workplace, but sometimes this might mean other workplaces across BT Group, customer locations, or offsite events.

2) We believe in flexibility. This means up to two days of flexible working per week for most office-based colleagues. On these days you can choose to work from home, your local coffee shop (or back in the workplace for those who want to). It’s up to you to choose what works best for you on those days.
Volunteering

That’s right, if you’re a BT, EE, Openreach, or Plusnet full-time colleague, you have three days of company time to volunteer your time and skills (pro-rata and subject to your line manager’s approval) for causes or organisations that you’re passionate about.
You can use it in any way you like – use an hour at a time, use a day, use it all at once.

Flexible bank holidays
Take time off on the days that work best for you by swapping your bank holidays for annual leave (subject to prior agreement).
Recognition
We love sharing being able to say thank you to our colleagues for doing a great job as well as just surprising those who have gone the extra mile.

Just to Say is our recognition platform through which you can show how you value others as well as benefit from your colleagues’ appreciation. Awards can be social or financial through vouchers, so you can choose what will mean the most for you.
