Why this job matters

The PMO Specialist role is a critical position within our organization. As we strive to simplify engagement for all our units and Digital stakeholders, ensuring that our teams are working on the right things at the right time with the right funding and resource available is key. The PMO Specialist is responsible for managing the demand for resources across the Networks organization, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with business objectives and supported by solid business cases. With their expertise in demand management, the PMO Specialist plays a vital role in driving business outcomes and ensuring that our teams are working on the highest priority initiatives. The role requires a strategic and analytical mindset, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with and Digital stakeholders. The PMO Specialist role is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced PMO professional to make a significant impact on our organization's success. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the PMO Relationship to our external business unit stakeholders. This will provide one single point of contact for all demand driven by those units. 
  • Owning the Annual Planning and subsequent change management process ensuring that all impacts are understood across the business 
  • Owning the Ways of Working with our partners to ensure we have a process that works for us but also for other areas in BT 
  • Providing monthly reporting and insight across the portfolio focusing particularly on key changes as well as future impacts across the organisation. 
  • Ensuring that the data is valid and constantly aligned with our internal stakeholders and other business areas and using this data to drive insight. 
  • Working closely with our Commercial and Internal portfolios to ensure that our spend is being monitored monthly and processes in place to prevent us working on activity that is not funded 
  • Where our customers require prioritisation to their annual plan leading and managing that for the team 
  • A strong focus on improving the processes to be the best they can be for ourselves but also our customers
