About the role

The role focuses on owning key parts of monitoring solutions, including design, development, testing, and deployment. It involves working largely independently while collaborating with the team, ensuring all functional, non functional, and operational requirements are met. The role also includes setting up and managing development environments and introducing tools to support testing and delivery.

  •  Design and develop solutions aligned with architecture and security standards.
  •  Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues through analysis and enhancements.
  •  Conduct peer reviews to maintain quality and meet customer expectations.
  •  Develop components for smaller or less complex projects with proper documentation.
  •  Provide technical support and insights to resolve project challenges.
  •  Builds scalable, event-driven systems within the Service Assurance domain.
  •  Delivers high-quality, resilient backend software (often microservices-based).
  •  Improves operational efficiency through automation and system stability.
  •  Supports Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and continuous delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  •  Experience in telecom networks (Fixed, Mobile, Transmission), primarily OSS environments. 
  •  Develops software solutions for Service Assurance, focusing on Fault Management and Performance Management. 
  •  Works across hybrid systems, including legacy (COTS and custom-built) applications. 
  •  Installs and manages network monitoring systems. 
  •  Handles multiple tasks independently with strong problem-solving and deep technical analysis skills. 
  •  Delivers solutions using Agile methodologies and manages concurrent application releases. 
  •  Drives strong engineering practices and ensures timely, high-quality software delivery. 
  •  Debugs complex issues and provides effective solutions. 

Essential Skills / Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
  • Strong Agile/DevOps exposure, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid problem-solving, debugging skills, and understanding of data structures & algorithms.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Technical & Domain Expertise:

  • Acts as a technical expert, driving best practices and team collaboration.
  • Provides strategic/enterprise-level direction and communicates complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong experience in Telecom OSS/NMS, with skills in Java, Python, Shell scripting, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL, WebLogic, Swagger, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, ELK) for observability.

Process & Delivery:

  • Skilled in process design and documentation, defining structured end-to-end workflows.
  • Focus on scalable, well-documented, and integrated system design.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience delivering end-to-end projects in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise application design, Kafka, HDFS.
  • Understanding of telecom domain and experience with large telecom providers.
  • Exposure to globally distributed teams.
