About the role
As Procurement Manager – Professional Services, you will play a key role in delivering procurement excellence across BT’s professional services spend. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will develop and execute category strategies, lead end-to-end sourcing and RFx activity, and drive commercial value through robust financial analysis and supplier management. You will be responsible for ensuring contract compliance, delivering cost-saving opportunities, and building trusted relationships across the business to support strategic procurement decisions.
To succeed in this role, you will combine strong commercial and procurement expertise with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. You will be confident analysing and presenting complex pricing models, negotiating with suppliers, and engaging senior leaders to gain buy-in for procurement initiatives. A proactive, data-driven approach, coupled with the ability to operate independently within a complex organisation, will enable you to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and implement procurement category strategies aligned to business objectives and long-term commercial goals.
- Lead end-to-end RFx and sourcing activities, ensuring the best commercial outcomes and value delivery for BT.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through data-led category management, business case development, and commercial modelling.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, securing engagement and support for procurement initiatives.
- Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships to enhance performance, value, and procurement excellence.
- Own and analyse complex pricing structures, providing commercial insight and recommendations on alternative approaches where required.
- Ensure contract governance and adherence, maintaining timely and compliant commercial agreements.
- Influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, including presenting recommendations and outcomes at executive level.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong commercial, finance, accounting, or procurement expertise with the ability to understand and articulate complex pricing models.
- Proven experience leading strategic sourcing, procurement, and end-to-end RFx activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders.
- Highly developed negotiation skills with the ability to secure value and influence positive business outcomes.

- Experience working within a large multinational or complex matrix organisation.
- Strong commercial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities across teams and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately to tight deadlines.
- Experience building and managing effective supplier and stakeholder relationships to drive business value.
