About the role
The LMA Developer is capable for building and maintaining observability and monitoring solutions for OpenStack-based NFVI platforms. The role focuses on developing automation using Juju and Ansible, managing monitoring stack deployments, and enhancing the LMA control plane. The engineer will work on deploying and operating exporters, telemetry, alerting, and metrics collection services to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for OpenStack-based NFVI platforms to improve system reliability and visibility.
• Build and enhance automation using Juju and Ansible to simplify deployment, configuration, and operations.
• Deploy, manage, and help monitoring components such as exporters, metrics collection, and alerting services through the LMA control plane.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and platform teams to troubleshoot issues, improve observability, and deliver scalable monitoring capabilities.
Essential Skills / Experience
• Experience developing and helping applications or platform services in Linux-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools, ideally Ansible and/or Juju.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and OpenStack concepts.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including metrics collection, alerting, and telemetry solutions.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or Go.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and software development best practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams and convey technical information clearly.
