What I’ll be doing – your accountabilities
- Process Governance & Editorial Leadership: Act as semi‑owner of the end-to-end Daily Media newsletter process, ensuring all steps are executed consistently
- Workflow Oversight: Own the process documentation, SOPs, escalation flows, and daily delivery checklists
- Advanced Media Intelligence: Conduct deeper monthly editorial analysis beyond daily summaries
- Social Media Listening: Guide the structure of Brandwatch queries, topic profiles, and listening frameworks used for BT and competitor tracking
- Cross‑functional Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of coordination with Corporate Affairs, Media Relations, Reporting & Insights, and relevant CFUs on newsletter priorities
Skills required for the job
- Expert-level media monitoring judgement with ability to assess materiality and relevance under time pressure
- Exceptional editorial writing and summarisation skills
- Deep understanding of the UK media ecosystem (national, trade, regional, broadcast)
- Ability to enforce and evolve editorial and process standards across the team
- Advanced experience on Brandwatch or equivalent (Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Pulsar, Netbase)
- Strong analytical mindset, particularly in connecting news events to sector impact
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and own a mission-critical daily process
- Superior attention to detail and zero-error mindset
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Familiarity with the UK telecoms and digital infrastructure sector (preferred)
Experience you would be expected to have
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience of working on Media monitoring or Social media listening tools
- A Marketing qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Typically degree and post graduate qualification in a related subject, e.g. Business or Marketing
Experience:
- Mandatory: 7-8 years of experience in media monitoring, newsroom workflows, content curation, or editorial intelligence
- Mandatory: Strong background in news judgement, analysis, and summarisation
- Mandatory: Experience working with Brandwatch or equivalent tool
- Mandatory: Strong familiarity and understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums, and Instagram
- Preferred: Experience in high-stakes, time-critical daily outputs
- Preferred: Experience managing or guiding junior colleagues
- Preferred: Experience in telecom/technology domain
Eligibility Criteria-Please note that as per the IJP guidelines for India, if you have an active PIP/Disciplinary sanctions then you cannot apply for a role internally for the duration of that sanction. In circumstances when you are in a disciplinary process but the outcome hasn’t been reached or there is an active appeal then you can apply, however, the Offer could be withdrawn if, subsequently, you’re issued with a sanction or your appeal is unsuccessful.
It is the responsibility of an applicant to not apply to IJP in case if they are on an active PIP/ Disciplinary case/ Warnings or sanction. If such an applicant is found to have applied for a role, then, strong disciplinary action will be taken against that applicant.
Please note that there is a pay freeze in effect for May & June so if your date of movement is either of these months, though you will receive a new contract letter in accordance to your new role preceding your movement, it will not reflect any pay changes. Any changes in your compensation due to internal movement during May & June be effective 1st of July 26 (post APR process has taken place in June) & you will be given another letter in June to communicate the same.
