About the role

You will play a key role in the daily operations of our Cardiff warehouse. This customer-facing position involves managing deliveries, stock counting, and order picking to support Openreach engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing external couriers and ensuring smooth warehouse activities, working closely with a small team to maintain efficiency and high service standards.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Receive and process daily deliveries accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate stock counts and manage inventory within the warehouse.
  • Pick and prepare orders for Openreach engineers in a timely manner.
  • Oversee external couriers and manage incoming parcels and deliveries.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and trolleys safely.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team, taking initiative when required.
  • Maintain professionalism and patience when dealing with challenging customers.
  • Support general warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

You'll have the following skills and experience

  • Basic IT literacy with the ability to confidently use computer systems and software relevant to warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or engineering support environment is highly advantageous.
  • Physically able to handle a fast-paced, physically demanding role, including lifting up to 20 kilos unaided.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the patience and professionalism to handle challenging interactions calmly.
  • Valid driving license is a plus but not essential.
