About the role

We are looking for an AI Factory Engineering Manager to lead the engineering delivery of AI agents, connectors, and cloud-native platform capabilities across enterprise SaaS platforms and legacy systems. The role is liable for end-to-end engineering execution, including architecture/design oversight, build and deployment, cloud automation, DevOps/IaC enablement, reliability/SLAs, security & compliance, and continuous improvement. 

You will lead a blended team (FTE + subcontractors) and drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Kiro, and other AI frameworks to accelerate delivery while ensuring robust controls for performance, scalability, security, maintainability, reusability, and reliability. 

This role partners closely with architecture, security, compliance, product owners, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver production-grade agents and integrations that measurably improve productivity and experience. 

What you’ll be doing

AI Engineering & Cloud Delivery – Consolidated Responsibilities
1. Delivery & Engineering Execution
Own end-to-end delivery of AI solutions (agents, workflows, connectors) ensuring quality, scalability, and predictable releases. Build capabilities across automation, insights, knowledge retrieval, and system integrations (SaaS & legacy).
2. Architecture & Cloud Design Oversight
Provide architectural leadership ensuring performance, security, scalability, and reliability. Define and enforce patterns for APIs, integrations, identity, data security, and observability.
3. Automation, DevOps & IaC
Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD maturity, and deployment automation (blue/green, canary). Enable self-service provisioning and ensure consistent, repeatable environments.
4. SLA/SLO, Metrics & Governance
Ensure adherence to SLAs, engineering metrics, and operational standards (availability, MTTR, quality, cost). Maintain governance through documentation, runbooks, and release controls.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
Translate business needs into delivery plans and promote cloud-native adoption via training, reusable assets, and engineering best practices.
6. Security, Risk & Compliance
Embed secure-by-design principles including IAM, encryption, secret management, and auditability. Maintain a strong risk-aware engineering culture.
7. Vulnerability & Incident Management
Drive proactive security practices (SAST/DAST, scanning, patching) and lead incident resolution, RCA

Essential Skills / Experience

8–12+ years of software engineering experience with 3–5+ years in engineering leadership (tech lead / manager / engineering manager). 

Strong cloud engineering experience (Azure/AWS/GCP; hybrid is acceptable):  

microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), platform services 

Expertise in DevOps/IaC:  

CI/CD, infrastructure automation, config management, release governance, autoscaling 

Strong integration engineering capabilities:  

REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging patterns 

identity and auth patterns (OAuth2, SSO, JWT), secrets management 

Proven experience running production systems:  

monitoring, telemetry, incident response, capacity planning 

Experience managing blended teams:  

subcontractor/vendor delivery governance, onboarding, performance controls 

Desirable Skills / Experience

Preferred / Good-to-Have 

Hands-on experience with:  

Microsoft Copilot ecosystem (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) and/or GitHub Copilot 

Kiro or similar AI-assisted engineering/orchestration tools 

agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel-style patterns) 

Knowledge of agent engineering patterns:  

grounding/RAG, evaluation frameworks, feedback loops, safety/guardrails 

Enterprise platform integration experience:  

ServiceNow, M365 ecosystem, HR/CRM tools, enterprise identity 

Familiarity with:  

policy-as-code, auditability patterns, regulated environment delivery standards
