Why this job matters

The Sourcing Professional supports the implementation of procurement strategies for complex projects across the BT Group's spend categories, delivering procurement of material/services through the identification of needs and execution of purchasing according to established agreements.

What you’ll be doing

Support the development and execution of sourcing plan and activities, through planning and execution of RFx and bid support
Defines projects / categories / goods or services in scope for low cost location sourcing, understands the market
Build and maintain category expertise, apply best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics
Assist in setting the strategy and capability for smart sourcing and / or best cost location sourcing, and develop the processes, templates, governance and framework for executing eAuction and other RFx processes (e.g. 3 bids and a buy)
Execute sourcing events, manage contracting, manage the cadence and pipeline for RFx activities and ensure appropriate support
Research low cost location markets to understand current suppliers, pricing models, strategies to drive down pricing
Support business requirement triage and alignment
Maintain good work relationship with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure continuous alignment and buy in

Ability to meet the customers’ needs in line with the business requirements

Focusing on all aspects and details of a task and delivering your output with a high level of accuracy
Professional skills:
1-5 years experience as a buyer within the Procurement Sourcing function, with strong strategic and tactical procurement skills, and the ability to lead, and deliver value
Effective relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment is an advantage
Language skills:
English and Italian on a fluent level
Any European language on a fluent level is an advantage
