About the role

The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for solution design, configuration, enhancement delivery and operational support across SAP S/4HANA Finance processes. The role will work closely with Finance, Architecture, Data Migration and System Integration teams to deliver scalable and compliant Finance solutions. 
The individual will support Finance transformation initiatives, ERP modernisation programmes and business change delivery, while contributing to finance data migration activities, testing, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation.

What you’ll be doing

SAP FICO Solution Design & Delivery 
•    Design, configure and support SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Internal Orders, Profit Centre Accounting and Project Systems Finance integration. 
•    Translate business requirements into scalable SAP designs and produce functional specifications to support technical development activities. 
•    Ensure solutions align with BT architecture, security and financial control standards. 
•    Support finance process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives. 
Finance Transformation & Integration 
•    Support integration design across SAP FICO and related modules including RAR, MM, SD, PS and BW. 
•    Design financial posting logic, reconciliation controls and reporting requirements. 
•    Support month-end, year-end and statutory reporting processes. 
•    Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to ensure robust process governance and compliance. 
Data Migration & Cutover Support 
•    Support finance data migration activities during SAP transformation programmes. 
•    Assist with data mapping, cleansing, validation and reconciliation processes. 
•    Work in Data Migration teams to migrate General Ledger balances, open AP/AR items, Fixed Asset data, Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Internal Orders and project-related master data. 
•    Support migration mock runs, dress rehearsals and cutover execution. 
•    Participate in reconciliation activities between legacy systems and SAP S/4HANA. 
Testing, Deployment & Support 
•    Participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing and defect resolution. 
•    Support release planning, deployment and hypercare activities. 
•    Investigate and resolve functional issues across Finance processes. 
•    Create and maintain functional specifications, design documents and operational procedures. 
•    Support business users through knowledge transfer and training activities. 
Stakeholder Management 
•    Work collaboratively with Finance, Business Process Owners, Architecture teams and System Integrators. 
•    Provide clear communication of risks, dependencies and delivery status. 
•    Contribute to programme governance and design review forums. 
•    Support internal and external audit activities where required. 

Essential Skills / Experience

•    5-8 years of SAP FICO experience. 
•    Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance or ECC FICO. 
•    Deep understanding of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Controlling. 
•    Experience of Finance process configuration and support. 
•    Knowledge of Finance integration with MM, SD, RAR, and Project Systems. 
•    Exposure to finance data migration activities.
•    Experience in data validation, reconciliation and defect management. 
•    Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder management skills. 
•    Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments. 

Desirable Skills / Experience

•    Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes. 
•    Exposure to SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, SAP Data Services/BODS or similar migration tools. 
•    Experience with Central Finance (CFIN). 
•    Experience working in large-scale enterprise transformation programmes. 
•    Knowledge of ICOFR, SOX, ITGC and audit controls. 
•    SAP S/4HANA Finance certification. 
•    Telecom industry experience.
