The Account Director role supports Lloyds Bank, one of BT's most strategic customers, with responsibility for driving revenue, new product growth, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Operating in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, the role focuses primarily on the Network, Cloud and Security towers, while also identifying strategic opportunities and supporting growth in new areas.

 

The role spans a significant portion of the Lloyds contract and includes responsibility for managed services, network and security, new business, account planning, long-term strategy, customer relationship management, supplier management, and forecasting.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships across the Lloyds account, managing a complex stakeholder landscape and handling escalations at the right level.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer priorities, transformation plans and market trends to align BT solutions to client needs.
  • Drive account growth by leading new business opportunities, shaping commercially sound solutions and owning the new sales elements of the account P&L.
  • Lead strategic account planning, ensuring robust development plans reflect the competitive landscape and BT’s position in the market.
  • Use your expertise across BT’s network, cloud, security and managed services portfolio to deliver value-led solutions and an excellent customer experience.
  • Strengthen key customer relationships, define the contact strategy and improve customer satisfaction, including Net Promoter Score performance.

Essential Skills / Experience

 

  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level accounts.
  • Ability to achieve or exceed targets for revenue, new product and service growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to retain existing revenue in a highly competitive market while maximising BT’s growth story and network benefits.
  • Ability to create account and win plans for all re-sign and growth opportunities, with clear actions and effective coordination of the virtual team.
  • Ability to build effective, multi-level customer relationships by understanding their business and decision-making processes, adding value across the organisation and becoming a trusted partner

Desirable Skills / Experience

 

  • Knowledge of the financial services sector.
  • Ability to act as an ambassador for BT internally and externally, demonstrating best-in-class sales behaviours and delivering excellent customer outcomes.
  • Understanding of the value of managed services.
