About this role

BT are recruiting for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our Bristol office with flexible hybrid working.

This is a vital role in supporting delivery of BT Group financial goals. The Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function works closely with Customer Facing Units (CFUs) and Corporate Unit (CUs) to develop stretching forecasts, provide meaningful insight into financial performance and drive action & decision making on a pan BT basis.


You'll have the following responsibilities

• Manage the monthly systemised Outlook process, understanding the key risks and opportunities and consolidating the financial impact. This will include working closely with the Unit Finance teams to understand the key movements vs budget and you will be the first port of call with any questions / issues the Units have ahead of them submitting a view

• Manage the biannual systemised MTO (Medium Term Outlooks) process whereby Units provide their most up to date 5 year view

• Work closely with Investor Relations to provide detail on the Outlook & MTO process 

• Contribute to evaluation of Unit MTP submissions (Medium Term Plan) as part of the annual MTP process  

• Prepare, review and analyse MTP supplementary schedules that Units are required to submit, including the Risks & Opportunities analysis

• Responsible owner for other key analysis projects on an ad-hoc basis


You'll have the following skills & experience

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate the analysis in a simple way

• Able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems

• Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint and Excel)

• Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment

• Experience of SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud
