With many exciting opportunities across our teams, here at our operations in India we have recently collaborated with one of India’s leading research institutions, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), to establish the BTIRC - BT Group India Research Center. Located in Bengaluru, this new collaborative research centre is just the beginning of BT Group’s progressive new phase of UK-India joint research, and it will focus on the development of the next generation of cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI), mobility and software engineering technologies.

Our operations in India have rapidly expanded from a single customer relationship management office in New Delhi (India), to become one of the largest technology companies in the country, with over 12,000 employees, spread across the entities: Global Services, Technology, Corporate functions and Openreach.

  • Global

    At BT, ICT Support is the provision of insight and solutions for our extensive technology infrastructure, as well as assisting with common problems that arise for our personal and corporate clients. Joining our India Global services team offers the chance to take on one of our crucial technology roles in these areas:

Technology

 

Our India based team of 1800+ technology professionals spread across 6 locations in 4 states are responsible for BT being one of the global research leaders in communications technologies and AI. As a result, we have filed the highest number of AI-focused patents amongst all UK companies with the UK patent office over the last 20 years.

  • Corporate Units

    We shape and steer the direction of the business by managing our people, finances, shared services, and buildings. Corporate Units comprises of these key departments: Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Facility. We also oversee our legal, regulatory and compliance obligations too.

Openreach

 

A wholly owned subsidiary of BT and made up of four divisions, Openreach spans:

  • Service delivery
  • Fibre and network delivery
  • Strategic infrastructure development
