About the role

Join the Design & Delivery PMO team as a PMO Professional, providing governance and delivery support across complex customer contracts in Bristol.
 
This role plays a key part in helping programmes succeed by delivering effective governance, reporting, risk management and assurance that supports high-quality customer outcomes.
 
Working with a broad range of stakeholders, you'll have the opportunity to shape and improve PMO processes while building a long-term career within a growing PMO community.

 

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo Security Clearance (SC) , which requires residency in the UK for a minimum of five years.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver high-quality PMO services across customer contracts, ensuring governance, reporting, controls and assurance activities are consistently applied and add value to delivery outcomes.
  • Manage programme governance activities including project gating, board governance, reporting cycles, action tracking, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, document and embed effective PMO processes and ways of working across new and existing contracts.
  • Analyse delivery information and produce clear, decision-ready reporting and insights that support programme and leadership decision-making.
  • Improve PMO effectiveness through continuous improvement, simplification, automation and the adoption of consistent tools, standards and best practice.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Proven ability to deliver project governance, stage-gate controls and board reporting within project, programme or PMO environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work independently, influence others and drive actions through to completion.
  • Ability to create clear reporting and delivery insights using PMO tools and data to support informed decision-making.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder delivery or customer contract environments.
  • Understanding of PMO frameworks and methodologies such as P3O, PRINCE2, MSP or PMQ.
  • Experience improving PMO processes through automation, standardisation or digital tooling.
  • Knowledge of risk management, document control, change management or delivery assurance activities.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Design and Power Automate.
