The App solution architect candidate for this job will work closely with our App-based team to design and deliver end-to-end solutions for customer journeys on our app. As the center of all customer experiences in the future, our app requires an individual who can think strategically and design solutions that not only meet business requirements but also deliver exceptional user experiences. The candidate will have a deep understanding of application architecture and microservices and will be able to design solutions that scale and perform at the highest levels. They will also have experience building app-based solutions and be able to leverage their expertise to develop highly engaging and intuitive customer journeys. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and create technical designs.

What you’ll be doing

• Accountable for producing solution designs to maintain and improve digital systems
• Ensuring solutions conform to Architecture Principles
• Validating requirements to facilitate effectively developed solutions
• Delivery of Digital Impact Assessments, including sizing estimates for squad effort
• Identify security impacts and circulate to other teams
• Be responsible for the delivery of Digital architecture artefacts and review non-digital artefacts
• Work with 3rd Party service providers when necessary
• Understand key regulatory requirements (Ofcom, PCI, EU GDPR, Digital Economy Act etc.) and their potential impacts on Digital solutions/Products
• Be commercially aware when assessing impact

You'll have the following skills and experience

• At least 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
• Experience developing mobile applications.
• Ability to present and communicate your design work.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Good planning and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage changing business and technical requirements in highly dynamic project environments.
• Previous experience in either an application, service or development role.
• Experience developing digital experiences for Customer journeys.
• Experience with designing APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with 3rd party integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with one of the following: Nvelocity, React, and Flutter frameworks.
• Experience of Telecom Domain Systems.
• Formal advanced certification in required technical and domain skills.
