What you’ll be doing

•    DevOps and automation authority for specific SecDev’s Cyber capabilities
•    Technical leadership and responsible for keys part of SecDev DevOps framework, designing and implement common Automation and DevOps standards across the unit
•    Work with platforms team and design leads on automation requirements management across unit
•    Design, build and test of automation of SecDev capabilities
•    Aid and design solutions for the automated deployment of the new cyber protection infrastructure, and contribute to the activities till operationally live and accepted into service, if required as part of the project working on
•    Work as part of the wider team, to drive automation and DevOps culture across unit
•    To continually develop professional DevOps and Cybersecurity skills and DevOps and awareness, to always remain ahead of our attackers, and develop the skills of others in the team
•    Lead on continuous improvement of SecDev DevOps standards.
•    Where required to provide 2nd line support to maintain service availability during cyber attack
•    Mentoring team members wherever necessary and keeping abreast of latest technologies in providing automated solutions.

Skills required for the job

Essential:
•    A general technologist, with a genuine demonstrable experience and interest in both Cybersecurity and DevOps
•    Have familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Puppet or Ansible, scripting languages such as Python and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
•    Have experience working in a Cybersecurity environment providing business critical security solutions
•    Be comfortable with hands on scripting, infrastructure as code and related development activities
•    Strong understanding of network and cloud technologies
•    Good hands-on experience with Linux 
•    An aptitude for autonomous learning as required by the demands of the business
•    Assertiveness and an aptitude for leading change and roll out of new standards and improved ways of working
•    Proven problem-solving abilities
•    Excellent team working skills 

Advantageous:

•    Have some familiarity with git/gitlab and artefact repo’s (e.g Nexus)
•    Experience with automated test frameworks
•    Have experience in one of more of these Cybersecurity technologies:
o    SIEM technology (preferably Elastic)
o    Host based security products (threat detection, micro segmentation)
o    Vulnerability and Compliance Management
o    Privileged Access management
o    Secure Linux and Windows Administration
o    Secure Virtualisation technology
•    Knowledge of security compliance frameworks
•    Knowledge of Threat Management and related proactive security monitoring techniques
