ServiceNow Platform Design & Implementation Lead

This role is 3 days a week on site in either the Manchester, Birmingham or London offices.

If your looking to work in the epicenter of ServiceNow within BT, then this is the area to be as you'll be joining the Centre of Excellence team for ServiceNow and the key platform team for BT with over 200 in the team.
This role is focused on building the next generation of technology to support BT's new Value/Volume IT architecture. Founded on agile engineering, DevOps, and cloud-native principles, these software platforms will offer a full set of service management, and assurance capabilities. As a ServiceNow Design Lead, you will underpin brand new modern products and services for BT and help implement BT’s long-term strategy. Specifically, you’ll be designing the solutions for Service Management and Assurance across all CFUs and technology units of BT.
What you’ll be doing
In this role you will have a specific CFU workstream to deliver too, which is mainly networks. There will be an element of delivery responsibility for the project also.
- Service Solutions Architecture: Design and manage service solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with BT's network platforms.
- Best Practices: Follow ServiceNow best practices and justify any deviations from out-of-the-box solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other squads and Enterprise Architects to agree on architecture and design patterns.
- Technical Assessments: Support RFPs and ITTs by conducting proof of concepts for vendor software platforms.
- API Design: Design and specify APIs to build out the Service ecosystem.
- Cloud-Native Architecture: Develop scalable and resilient cloud-native deployment architectures.
- Data Models & Integrations: Design data models and integrations.
- Security: Ensure security by design, collaborating with security leads and engineers.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Support development, DevOps, and testing, resolving any design or code issues.
Skills and Experiences
To be suitable for this role you will have completed a minimum of 4 ServiceNow Implementations. You will also have experience of:
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience of ServiceNow Platform
- Experience in software architecture and solution design.
- Software engineering experience focused on cloud SaaS and web technologies and containerization – with a heavy focus on automation, ATF, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience within an Agile environment, for example, within a SCRUM team.
- Experience developing and deploying software on a Cloud Service Provider such as ServiceNow.
- Solution design experience covering ITSM, CSM and experience in designing and scaling systems.
- Service Mgt Experience with ServiceNow
- Modules - ITSM, CSM, ITOM
