Software Engineering Professional - BTP

The Software Engineering Professional supports the execution of the software engineering strategy and roadmap that supports BT's commercial strategy through cross functional project and technical delivery and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Responsibilities
• Develop and support solutions/architecture designs related to SAP BTP offerings (Integration, Extension, Security, varies services and subscriptions, analytics, loT.) with varies business requirements.
• Define best practices of SAP Build App, SAP build code, SAP HANA Cloud, BTP entitlements, service key and instance, destination connectivity, cloud connector, role management, SAP workzone, API management and SAP master data interface.
• Understand business requirements and translate them to technical requirements.
• Oversee testing, validation and go-live support for BTP integrated solutions.
• Continuous improvement, stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and innovations in BTP.
• To be part of various design/ architectural calls including SAP and Non-SAP Solutions
• Work with E2E designers to understand the requirements and provide the component design inputs.
• Build the component level designs to cater to the overall E2E Design. Consider Non-Functional and Functional requirements when building the design,
• Deliver complex Designs on time and with a high degree of quality independently.
• Recommend opportunities for reuse of frameworks and data models where appropriate.
• Able to liaise with various teams on design, developments & test aspects – facilitating the functional aspects and managing the design completion.
• Review test cases and code. Ensure that best practices have been adopted when writing test cases or code.
• Developing, testing, debugging and documenting SAP integrations.
• Should have experience in the Agile Development model.
• Grow technical and design capabilities of the engineering team.
The skills you’ll need
• Expertise in SAP BTP services such as SAP Extension Suite (Cloud Foundry), SAP HANA Cloud DB, SAP Build App, SAP Build Code, Generative AI, CI CD services of HANA cloud, SAP Workzone, BTP role management and cloud connector setup.
• Expertise in BTP services usage and monthly cost estimates.
• Single sign on setup in BTP, SAP HANA cloud.
• Design and develop Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) using Angular and React
• Expertise in Java, Redux and Spring Boot.
• Design cloud-based extensions and customizations using SAP BTP for scalable, secure and high-performance solutions. Ensure seamless integrations of SAP BTP services with SAP (SuccessFactors, S4 HANA, SAP HANA Cloud, ECP, CPI) and non-SAP systems.
• Good understanding of standard services and libraries of SAP Cloud Platform.
• Development experience with SQL Script, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, function calls, RDBMS, No-SQL databases.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in Web Services standards REST, SOAP, WSDL
• Must have knowledge of debugging tools and should be able to debug and analyse issues and come up with solutions to resolve them
• Good exposure to SuccessFactors API
Qualifications
• Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• Possess typically 4+ years of previous software engineering or related experience, as a developer/designer of which at least 3+ years in SAP BTP
• Understands Data Structure, Algorithms and is fluent in Java and related technologies.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

• Exposure to Object oriented concepts and programming

• Having Knowledge of SAP systems like SuccessFactors, S/4 Hana would be a plus.
• Ability to develop/ adopt new frameworks and work individually or in a team (distributed or local)
