Why this job matters

2nd line support for various Enterprise Discovery, Inventory, Service Mapping, Automation. Ensure queue management and handle incidents that are escalated by the Level 1 team for both system generated events and user related queries. Ensure fault resolution and escalations are handled in a timely manner

What you’ll be doing

    Basic Networking Concepts like OSI model, TCP/IP (Logical Link Control, Flow Control, Link Negotiation) 
    IP Addressing and Subnetting. Bridging and Switching Concepts, LAN Technologies such as Ethernet - CSMA/CD STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN tagging, LACP. 
    Good Knowledge in Routing concepts like: RIP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP. Knowledge in VRRP, HSRP, GLBP
    Good Knowledge on Networking Layers, Core, Distribution and Edge Switches (3 Tier architecture).
    Good knowledge on WAN side protocols
    Working experience in implementation of Switching technologies such as Stacking, STP, VLANs, L2 , L3, 1G / 10G, Optic Fiber SFP/SFP+, etc.
    Working experience in implementation of Cisco / Equivalent Routers with functions such as Load balancing, WAN failover, MPLS, Site to Site VPN, Router HA, etc.
    Good working knowledge of Application layer protocols and functions such as IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, SNMP, TFTP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS , BootP 
    Basic Ethernet Concepts and Cablings, , Device authentication mechanisms, User Authentication Mechanisms, SMTP etc. 
    Ability to co-ordinate and interact with various teams to arrive at a quick resolution and organize workload for effective implementation.
    Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity

Skills

3-4 yrs of relevant experience.
CCNP certificate in Routing & Switching 
Good Communication skills, be an active listener, quick ability to diagnose the customer pain area.
Ability to Socialize and Network with Customers and Vendors.
Implement a change in accordance with change plan.
