The role is accountable for ensuring that our technical deliveries realise Business Value. The role is accountable for multiple complex small to medium sized design deliveries or a single large technical design delivery. The roleholder will coach and mentor a multi-discipline team. The role ensures that the scope of delivery is understood, that the technical solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive and are achieved. 

The working domain for the role holder is in the Network OSS space; including designing solutions for the Delivery of Business Solutions to be managed realising Business Value and Outcomes.  

What you’ll be doing

  •  Role involves defining and implementing the roadmap for Transformation of IT, DataCenter and Network Cloud applications in Service and Problem management.
  •  Experience designing & development in Core Java/J2EE/Spring/Angular and from an Engineering point of view (Preferrable microservice based architecture and cloud ready applications).
  •  Manage, Engineer, Architect, Develop and Maintain applications in Network Management, OSS and FCAPS space.
     Skilled in life cycle management of OSS tools/solutions including requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design & development, testing and deployment.
  •  Knowledge in various industry standard’s such as TMF, Open API.
  •  Lead and execute engineering initiatives to ensure the network cloud platform is easily consumable by products and solutions that are built on top of the platform; and at the sametime, is compliant with information security standards.
  •  Implement governance and controls to monitor and manage consumption and compliance with security and other standards.
  •  Implement and publish APIs for clients to consume platform services in a consistent way.
     Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and implement features based on service line demand, industry trends, known defects, and issues.
  •  Drive initiatives to identify right set of cloud technologies to be used for specific type of solutions and drive the effort to templatize and automate those technologies to be used at scale in all products and applications across OSS.
  •  Design and implement tools to monitor, and administer Cloud ready applications and the underlying services for multiple clouds (private and public)
  •  Design and implement DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines
     Work with solution design peers in the other spaces Network Edge, IT OSS and other operational teams and define implementation roadmap and scope sprints to deliver fasterbusiness outcomes working across the teams.
  •  Build internal, external and third-party supplier relationships to ensure full commitment and support in execution of the design.
  •  Set and manage right expectations at different levels including clients and internal stakeholders with a vision towards long term relationships
  •  Knowledge to deliver in Agile Methodologies and SRE.
  •  Drive strong engineering practices in the team
  •  Ability to debug complex issues and provide the right solution
