Job Description

  •  Looking for a Design Engineering Specialist who has a proven proficiency in BMC TrueSight Network Automation (TSNA).
  •  Must have good knowledge of Networking. CCNA certification will be added advantage.
  •  Must have at least 7 years’ experience working on TSNA and should know how Product works & its Architecture.
  •  The major roles & responsibilities include:
  •  Solution Design and Implementation: Produce solutions/designs for BT requirements around device configuration management and Linux deployments.
  •  Installation and Integration: Handle installation, TSNA OOTB integrations, role-based access configurations, defining compliance rules in TSNA, and Linux server configurations.
  •  Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot installation failures, failed devices, and Linux server issues independently.
  •  Support: Raise product issues with BMC support teams and ensure closure, provide mission-critical support in both classified and unclassified environments.
  •  Documentation and Training: Write low-level designs, understand requirements, get them implemented, and provide documentation and training for junior administrators and end-users.

Desirable:

  •  Experience in one or more of the following:
  •  IT security and compliance
  •  Datacentre infrastructure
  •  Software development
  •  Vendor management
  •  Database maintenance.
     

Must

  •  TSNA Expertise: At least 7 years of experience working on TSNA, including knowledge of its architecture and capabilities.
  •  Linux Expertise: Strong understanding of Linux architecture, experience in managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Linux environments.
  •  Networking: Fundamental knowledge of networking, including SSH, SNMP protocols, network troubleshooting, and log analysis.
  •  Configuration Management: Experience in configuration management of network devices and Linux servers using tools like Ansible.
  •  OSS and NMS: Understanding of Operation Support Systems (OSS) and Network Management Systems (NMS).
  •  IT Service Management: Knowledge of asset, incident, change, and problem management.
  •  Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl.
  •  Monitoring: Use tools like Dynatrace, Nagios, and ELK stack for monitoring and ensuring system reliability.
  •  Containerization: Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  •  Implementation and Support: Experience in implementation, upgrade/migration, support, resolving customer issues, and providing resolution within SLA.
  •  Multi-Server Configuration: Experience in installation and configuration of TSNA and Linux in a distributed environment, multi-server configuration, custom dashboards, and reports.
  •  Communication: Strong experience in communicating complex details to technical and non-technical audiences.
