We are seeking a talented and experienced Development Manager to lead our development team in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC), excellent people management skills, and expertise in agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and various programming languages and technologies. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving innovation.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and lead a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from conception to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Implement and promote agile methodologies and practices within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations, to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and drive project delivery.
- Lead and participate in design and architecture discussions, providing technical guidance and insights to the team.
- Drive DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and cloud deployment strategies.
- Perform issue triage and resolution, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Utilize analytical skills to analyze project metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our development processes and recommending adoption where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with expertise in Java, Python, .NET, Oracle, MySQL, ScyllaDB, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential.
- In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, with experience leading agile teams and driving agile transformations.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and drive problem resolution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Highly analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and optimize processes.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
