Why this job matters
Global Network Delivery is accountable for building the configuration of BT’s global data network infrastructure across 200 sites. The team is responsible for providing and configuring the core infrastructure to support service provision across a number of platforms, including Global MPLS, Global Internet Access, Transmission and Voice. Global Network Delivery are also integral to launching new technology into the Global Network, including global Dynamic Network Services (DyNS), Global Fabric (GF) and Cloud infrastructure. The team are also responsible for the network migrations and network configurations to enable network rationalisation including forced site closures and supporting customer migrations.
The Network Delivery Manager role is Leading a large multi-tiered team of professional and technical experts to deliver the complex network change, integration, test, and customer migration activities required on the flagship Global IP platform with a high level of technical complexity, diversity and variety of problem solving. There is a high level of autonomy and flexibility in how the working day is organised due to the global nature of the team and therefore working across multiple time zones. This role also involves managing 3rd party suppliers, ensuring that all costs are kept to a minimum whilst supporting on time delivery along with adhering to BT’s quality standards.

- Project Ownership: Overseeing Network Validation Testing, Service Introduction, In Life Change, GBFM, and Migrations, ensuring successful delivery.
- Health and Safety: Prioritizing health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Performance Targets: Ensuring the team meets On Time Delivery (OTD) and Right First Time (RFT) targets for all implementation activities.
- Standards Compliance: Ensuring all deliveries adhere to internal and external audited standards.
- Talent and Organizational Management: Managing team talent, including 1:1s, coaching, performance management, recruitment, engagement, and training.
The skills you’ll need to succeed
- Capable of working independently and ability to manage the tension between demand and supply, taking an acceptable level of risk where appropriate.
- Strong business acumen, commercial experience, and resource management skills.
- Effective at challenging, influencing, negotiating, and innovating up to Director Level.
- Exemplifies connected leadership, inspiring and coaching others while setting the right cultural tone.
- Strong communication, senior stakeholder management skills, and ability to handle ambiguity and risk during business changes.
- Strong relevant technical knowledge of Network (MPLS/Internet/SDWAN) and Service provider architecture, with 10+ years of Industry experience. Familiarity with Global Fabric is an added advantage.
- Proficient in using Jira and implementing scrum methodologies, holding a Scrum Master certification.
Experience you’d be expected to have
International Network Experience
Proven experience managing international telecom networks. In-depth knowledge of global telecom services, standards, and operational conventions.
Global Telecom Regulatory Knowledge
Familiarity with international telecom regulations, compliance, and legal frameworks.
Technical Team Leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams effectively.
Cross-Cultural Interaction & Negotiation
Experience in navigating multicultural environments and negotiating across diverse cultural contexts.
Financial Awareness & Budget Management
Ability to manage budgets, forecast costs, and align financial planning with technical strategy.
Operational System Stack Experience / NETOPS
Especially valuable: experience with network inventory systems, process automation & Operational tools.
