Your leadership enables seamless collaboration across product, platform, and infrastructure teams, while your expertise in Agile and Scaled Agile practices ensures delivery is adaptive, transparent, and value-driven. With direct influence on stakeholder engagement, team performance, and customer experience, this role is essential to shaping the future of the organisation’s product portfolio and operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic Leadership & Programme Oversight
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-element programmes across disciplines and suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful transition to operations.
- Drive the roadmap from Program Increment (PI) EPICs through to features, ensuring initiatives are scoped, prioritised, and delivered on time.
- Own and govern the Plan on a Page (POAP) for Global Fabric and other product lines (e.g. Internet, IPVPN, Cloudport), ensuring all actions are accurately captured, prioritised, and executed.
- Manage Product Lifecycle Release (PLR) activities to enable seamless product transition into service, coordinating across technical and operational teams.
- Provide oversight and coordination of Product Delivery Leads (DLs), ensuring delivery milestones, interdependencies, and risks are effectively managed.
Operational Execution & Risk Management
- Coordinate and manage inbound & outbound delivery dependencies, ensuring stakeholder requirements are understood and delivery is aligned.
- Track and report on delivery metrics such as defects, code quality, and readiness indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage programme-level risks, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication across stakeholder groups.
- Lead coordination of customer Proof of Value (POV) pilots, ensuring successful execution and feedback integration into delivery plans.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Inspire and coach direct and matrix teams (up to 300 people), fostering a high-performance culture and supporting individual development.
- Collaborate across technical, product, and business teams to align delivery with strategic goals and customer needs.
- Engage with senior stakeholders up to MD level, influencing programme strategy and delivery through domain expertise.
- Ensure programmes are appropriately scaled and resourced, balancing delivery ambition with operational capacity.
Communication & Governance
- Provide clear, consistent reporting on delivery progress, risks, and outcomes across the stakeholder base.
- Act as a trusted delivery partner, setting and managing expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent delivery in governance forums, ensuring visibility of progress, blockers, and strategic alignment.
Skills Required
Must Have
- Strong track record in end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale cross-functional programmes across suppliers and business units.
- Deep understanding of software delivery principles, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and Scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead and coach large direct and matrix teams (up to 300 people).
- Skilled in managing programme risks, issues, and escalations with structured mitigation planning.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influence up to MD level.
- Proficient in delivery reporting, including KPIs and metrics.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of platform and infrastructure and familiarity with RAN and Core architecture, network operations, and mobility.
- Experience coordinating customer Proof of Value (POV) pilots and transitioning products into service.
- Exposure to delivery tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to shape delivery strategy and influence product roadmaps through domain expertise.
