Acting as a vital link between delivery and architecture, you’ll provide technical leadership across our mobile digital services and products.You’ll help shape roadmaps that align technical strategy with meaningful business outcomes, bringing architectural decisions closer to the teams doing the work. By simplifying complexity and ensuring strategic alignment, you’ll help us build the right things in the right way — and keep our technical runway clear and future-ready.Collaboration is key. You’ll work closely with fellow architects, engineers, and enterprise teams to manage technical debt, align domains, and drive forward a shared vision.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the architecture strategy for Mobile products, aligning roadmaps with business goals and customer needs.
  • Guiding technical feasibility and shaping of features, ensuring alignment with strategic direction and delivery timelines.
  • Championing engineering excellence by managing technical debt and embedding quality assurance across teams.
  • Ensuring solutions meet key non-functional requirements — including performance, security, cost-efficiency, and modernisation.
  • Designing reusable patterns and scalable solution architectures that support consistent, customer-focused delivery.Collaborating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to drive alignment and influence decision-making.
  • Advising on technology resource planning and contributing to budget discussions to support architectural progress.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, supporting teams and senior leaders on complex architectural challenges.
  • Promoting empathy-driven design to ensure our products deliver real value to customers.

The skills you’ll need

  • Architecture expertise: Proven experience in a senior architecture role, ideally within the mobile telecoms domain.
  • Strong understanding of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and TMF industry standards.
  • Ability to create and govern reusable patterns and maintain business and technical capabilities aligned to strategic goals.
  • Leadership & influence: Commercial background in guiding architects and engineers, making strategic decisions even in ambiguity.
  • Strategic thinking & planning : Experience shaping end-to-end roadmaps over 6–18 month horizons, balancing transformation, cost, and technical maturity.
  • Ability to define tactical work that aligns with long-term strategic vision.
  • Agile delivery mindset: Hands-on experience with Agile planning and delivery, ideally within a SAFe framework.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
