The Role

Responsible for the day-to-day inventory execution activities for a portfolio of products.  The role involves liaising with Supply Assurance, Suppliers, CFU Portfolio Managers, Procurement, Chief Engineers Office, Customer Service Desks and Supply Chain Operational colleagues to resolve inventory related queries. Contribute to meeting SLA Stock Availability targets by maximising the availability of stock range managed though effective use of Demand Driven Sales & Operations processes, associated systems and collaboration with the relevant parties named above.  To identify current and potential future failures specific to the portfolio managed and initiate corrective action.

Contributing to Supplier Performance Management activities - Providing insight and analysis on suppliers, liaising with IMC Supply Assurance Team, SC Operations, Customers, Procurement as required in gathering data and information. Chairing and attending meetings/calls with Suppliers, presenting data/information seeking assurances of improvement where required.  Providing feedback to SC Management and involving Supply Assurance colleagues where required if necessary in the case of Supplier under-performance.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that customer service problems and stock availability issues passed to the IMC are dealt with efficiently and in a customer responsive manner and that escalation procedures are established and maintained.  
  • As well as the usual planning tasks such as releasing and progressing POs via O8, most of the work revolves around ad-hoc requests from Technology, supporting the introduction of new items, amending existing ones, providing demand history, providing stock delivery prospects, supporting contract extensions/amendment etc.
  • Ensure SPP prices are reviewed and updated regularly.
  • Liaise with finance to maintain stock holdings and stock purchases within budget.
  • To action withdrawal of items to minimise excess, obsolete and unusable stock ensuring that any surplus materials are redistributed, used to defer repair or identified for scrapping.  
  • Action SDP1’s raised by the Warehouse and FAM forms as required
  • Competent use of all relevant SC inventory systems  to facilitate the responsibilities outlined above.
  • Support as required Supply Assurance activities, providing insight and analysis, attending meetings with Suppliers and other relevant parties in order to facilitate adherence and improvements to stock availability
  • Carry out any other duties related to inventory management such as spares dimensioning, rebalancing, production of reports relating to stock as and when required.
