What you’ll be doing

Support the delivery of a high performing PMO service

  • Work closely with Programme teams to provide end‑to‑end PMO delivery, ensuring services are clearly defined, consistently applied, and add demonstrable value to contract delivery.
  • Adhere to agreed PMO standards for ways of working, outputs, and behaviours, promoting discipline, reliability, and a trusted PMO function.

Ensure consistent, highquality PMO execution

  • Deliver PMO services to a consistently high standard, meeting agreed expectations for governance, reporting, control, and assurance.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and inconsistencies in delivery and address them early.

Embed effective processes, tools, and governance

  • Comply with agreed methodologies, standards, and tools, while actively contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the wider PMO community approach.
  • Drive disciplined use of PMO tools and data to provide timely, accurate insight into delivery performance for stakeholders.

Continually improve PMO effectiveness

  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to PMO services, simplifying processes and introducing digital and automation solutions to reduce manual effort and increase consistency, scalability, and value.

NPS

  • Contribute to the PMO Net Promoter Score (NPS) for supported contracts by tracking trends, identifying recurring themes, and driving tangible improvements to the PMO service.

Leadership

  • Be accountable for PMO delivery, building trust through consistent execution, transparency, and clear communication.

Collaboration

  • Foster strong collaboration with the wider PMO team, providing guidance, support, and direction to colleagues where required.

  • Experience defining, implementing, and operating a clearly structured PMO catalogue of services.
  • Solid understanding of project and programme governance, with the ability to apply methodologies pragmatically and at pace.
  • Experience using PMO tools and data as the primary source of delivery insight, producing clear, decision‑ready reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate experience in identifying improvements, simplifying PMO processes, and introducing digital or automated solutions to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to identify and influence key delivery and leadership communities.
  • Proficient Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience operating PMO services within complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
