Why this role matters
The Procurement Manager – Commercial Bid & Excellence will lead the end-to-end process to provide procurement support for global customer bids.
This includes opportunity identification, qualification and delivery of procurement input for in-scope bids. Developing and executing bid support strategies that align with BT Sourced’s goals and customer account requirements.
What you'll be doing
- Provide procurement support for global customer bids.
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure all procurement obligations on a bid are addressed.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate bid-related documentation, including bid-related procurement files, records of communication and pricing information.
- Participate in negotiation sessions to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Ensure the compliance of supplier agreements with client requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate bid support metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee and project manage procurement efforts for customer bids, ensuring key stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues.
- Continuously refine and improve bid support processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid support.
The skills you'll need
- Extensive experience in procurement, category management, particularly around supplier capabilities and commercial models required to deliver customer requirements.
- Experience in dealing with and/or supporting customer bids will be an added advantage.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess bid opportunities and develop winning strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
