Why this job matters
To optimise risk in line with business goals. To deliver Collections & Recoveries strategy to meet CR & F targets through Debt Collections Agency placements and Debt Sale.
Constantly seek opportunities to improve pre and post debt sale processes to deliver efficiencies.
Subject matter expert and referral point for operational teams and external partners relating to recoveries.
Ensure Customer journey is an integral part of all risk lead interactions.
Constantly challenge & evolve the existing debt sale processes.
Ensure external partners are protecting BT brand through compliance to BT Recoveries policy.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for building highly accurate, detailed Debt Sale files to comply with Debt Purchaser requirements.

Responsible for identifying and delivering improvements to Debt Sale data files to improve accuracy and include new customer data to improve Debt Sale pricing.

Analysis of data required to complete debt sale transactions with a panel of debt purchasers.

Complete adhoc analysis to identify performance issues or areas of improvement impacting debt sale processes.

Produce team KPI dashboard to ensure accurate story for Recoveries performance is communicated to stakeholders up to director level.

Maintain effective relationships with external Debt Collections Agencies and Debt Purchasers
Skills & Experience Required

Story-telling with data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences.

Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)

Collaborative working: Work with the wider recoveries strategy team to understand drivers of Recoveries volumes and deliver solutions to improve performance.

SAS/SQL: Proficiency in the use of SAS and SQL programming languages to manipulate large volumes of data to complete detailed analysis.
