BT is trusted with providing critical communication networks to the British armed forces and to our industry partners supplying defence with critical equipment.  As part of the dedicated BT Defence Commercial Team and member of the wider BT Defence Team, you will play an important role in helping to protect the value of our contracts with our industry partners through maintaining an excellent relationship with our customer and offering BT colleagues excellent commercial support and advice .

What you’ll be doing

  • As the main interface and lead for the managed contract on all contractual / commercial matters, establish strong working relationships with the customers’ (BAE and other Industry Partner) commercial teams.
  • Commercial lead for the mobilisation and establishment of the BAE and other industry partners’ contracts.
  • Accountable for the commercial delivery of contracts.
  • Working closely with the customer and internally with BT colleagues from Contract Management, Finance, Account Management (Sales) and Design and Delivery to confirm customer requirements and contribute to the drafting of Change Proposals, including ensuring that all contractual financial transparency information is included and accurate.
  • Monitor and manage contractual obligations, Ts&Cs and SLAs.  
  • Input into contract reports and returns and contribute to the on-time delivery of contract deliverables.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks.
  • Provide commercial guidance and advice on the contract and how it might impact service delivery or new service proposals.  You will be able to rely upon legal advice from BT’s in-house legal department if required.

Flexible Working

BT have moved to a hybrid working model - you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you’ll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
