Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

This job role can be based in Cheltenham or Manchester. Onsite (5 days office based). Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.
What you’ll be doing
- Supports the design and development of software solutions in accordance with the wider architecture and security standards
- Supports in the execution of technical decisions, technology choices and architecture for a wide range of high-performance products, capabilities, and platforms, effectively balancing
short-term impact with long-term transformation - Maintains systems by monitoring and correcting software defects
- Supports the implementation and maintenance of high-quality tools and automation processes to support continuous delivery and developer productivity
- Writes, tests and reviews code, refining and rewriting as necessary under supervision and communicates to engineering professionals and colleagues involved in the project

- Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD)
- Evidence of testing on multiple platforms such as Linux and Windows and within different languages – Python, Ansible, Mongo, XML, VB, Java, C#, .Net, HTML, AngularJS, JSON, C++, SQL/MySQL/NoSQL, Mongo, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
- API, Stub and Harness Testing
