Why this job matters
This role is critical to the commercial success and operational integrity of our major frameworks. You will lead the strategic and commercial management of high-value framework agreements, ensuring they are structured to support business growth, renewed effectively, and governed in line with BT’s internal policies and contractual obligations.
Your leadership will ensure frameworks deliver value, remain compliant, and are underpinned by robust key controls. You will also act as the primary customer interface for framework-related matters, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and trust.
This job role can be based in Manchester, Cheltenham or Ipswich. Hybrid (3 days office based and 2 days remote). Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.
What you’ll be doing
Framework Strategy & Commercial Management
- Own and manage our commercial frameworks, ensuring they are commercially viable, strategically aligned, and operationally effective.
Contractual Governance & Obligations
- Ensure frameworks are structured and maintained to meet BT’s contractual obligations, including service levels, pricing mechanisms, and performance commitments.
Key Controls & Risk Management
- Embed BT’s Key Controls framework across all framework-related processes, ensuring consistent application and maturity across the business unit.
Contract Renewal & Transition Planning
- Develop and manage renewal strategies for major frameworks, ensuring continuity of service, commercial competitiveness, and compliance.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Act as the single point of contact for customers on all framework-related matters, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and proactive engagement.

What we'd like to see on your CV
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial frameworks and contract renewals in a complex business environment and driving impact.
- Strong understanding of rate card structures, pricing negotiations, and commercial modelling.
- Deep knowledge of contract governance, commercial risk, and internal control frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience in negotiating and optimising contractual terms to support business growth and compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, and governance platforms

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
