The Project/Programme Practice Manager manages teams in the delivery of projects/ programmes, influencing the execution of large complex projects, coordinating the defining and developing of Project Management methodologies and processes, as well as shaping relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

1. Manages the resources and engagements across the portfolio, influencing project outcomes aligning with BT Group commercial and operational objectives.
2. Manages continuous improvement in project deliveries and individual / team performance, measures and analyses deliveries and performance across projects.
3. Manages teams in contributing to annual planning and the subsequent execution.
4. Coordinates the analysis of process efficiency and innovation of methodologies using advanced technical knowledge.
5. Influences and maintains excellent relationships with the multiple business units across BT Group.
6. Manages and coaches project/ programme managers across multiple business units and geographies ensuring alignment with the whole portfolio.
7. Facilitates project / programme risk planning, monitoring, mitigation and reporting to stakeholders.
8. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Project/Programme Management & PMO.
9. Coaches talent, and manages others, to develop capabilities and ensure performance through upskilling, development and recruitment.
10. Implements ways to improve working processes within the area of Project/Programme Management & PMO.
11. Manages and adheres to the development of quality management plans and principles for the team to adopt.
