Overview

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will oversee our engineering practice, guiding team in the design and implementation of robust applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualification

  • Minimum 9+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in Node.js and React/Next.
  • Strong experience in backend technologies, with a minimum of 7 years in development roles.
  • Proficient in frontend technologies, with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS (minimum 3 years).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.
  • Experience in designing service journeys, specifically within B2B contexts, with a focus on user experience and process optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manages and coaches teams of software engineers driving the engineering organisation's ability to deliver high quality code on time and on budget and implementing means of bringing measurability as well as predictability to the engineering organisation's capabilities.
  • Design and implement scalable software architectures using Node.js and React/Next.
  • Oversee backend development using various technologies, ensuring robust, efficient, and secure applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and services using AWS, optimizing performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design and enhance B2B service journeys, ensuring seamless integration across different platforms and touchpoints.
  • Consolidate disparate systems to create a unified service experience, enhancing efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Facilitate agile methodologies and promote effective team collaboration.
  • Engage in strategic planning and contribute to product roadmaps.
