Senior Finance Associate
Building No 14 Sector 24 & 25A, Gurugram, India
You'll have the following responsibilities ·
- Management of results. This includes posting journals, performing reconciliations, first line value add analysis on results. ·
- Month end close accounting, managing the financial accounts for the business and product area. Also close the quarter and year end accounts.
- ·Work closely with colleagues in the team in Delhi, and teams across BT ·
Role requires
- strong communication skills as it involves regular interaction with the Senior Finance Team across the business. ·
- Complying to all Key and Non-Key controls ·
- Maintaining adequate backup and support for month end journals and reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc work during the month for specific issues that are identified by the BT team. For example, further detailed and deeper analysis of results, problem identification and resolution. This is a significant part of the role. ·
- Identifying opportunities to add value to BT’s operation.
- This will include driving efficiencies in the work area to speed up and improve the quality of output, identifying and introducing new quality reports that add benefit to BT, working with other teams in the area to share knowledge and best practice.
You'll have the following skills & experience ·
- Graduate in Commerce preferred ·
- Preferably 2 to 4 year’s relevant experience ·
- Interpersonal skills to be able to work within a larger team. ·
- Good command over Excel and other MS Office applications
- Straightforward, trustworthy.
- Able to work independently to resolve issues.
- Ability to work accurately to tight timeframes.
- Able to identify improvement opportunities and introduce these into the immediate work area and also across the wider team

The Finance Associate supports the Group/Business Units across a wide range of routine finance activities, applying financial acumen and existing procedures to help meet business priorities.
What you’ll be doing
1. Assists in the delivery of a wide range of routine financial analysis and other finance activities within existing procedures to support business area/unit finance priorities, working across finance teams as required
2. Builds knowledge of financial systems, processes and standards, while paying attention to changes in financial reporting principles and practices
3. Analyses and collates financial data into concise financial reports to comply with standards and procedures under parameters set by finance colleagues
4. Works on the development of presentations of finance insights and trends to relevant stakeholders for planning and decision support to finanical planning and modelling that provide business value and helps the achievement of customer requirements
5. Support the ongoing management of financial frameworks standards in line with BT finanacial priorities, which enable consistent delivery of service and informs and guides other colleague of expected financial standards
6. Assists in the ongoing development of improvement working processes within area of responsibility and escalates issues of concern on financial fitness and compliance to manager
7. Develops relationships within own team and network with other relevant teams/business areas to further the successful integration of financial priorities with business activities
