Your Accountabilities

 

Specifically, this job is accountable for:-                     

                                                                       

  • Working with (often senior) stakeholders to understand the business problems to create a data driven solution solutions using BT standard business intelligence technical stacks e.g. Qlik, PL/SQL, Oracle DWH, GCP
  • Working closely with Data engineers in Data discovery, Data Analysis and Data modelling.
  • Development and delivery of self-serve reporting solutions, ensuring highest quality and accuracy at all times
  • Taking the lead on ensuring personal skills are up to date and reflective of market trends in this specialised area
  • Ensure all processes, data storage / handling and outputs comply with GDPR, and / or any other applicable compliance laws & regulations

Skills Required

 

  • Story-telling with data: Strong communication skills clearly translating complex concepts relating to data management, KPI, Visualization etc. that into meaningful business insights
  • Expert user of data visualisation tools primarily Qlik to help deliver key insights

 

  • Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)

 

  • Technical : Support with the build and maintenance of a central database for analytics and business intelligence

Deep understanding of developing modern BI & Visualisation tools (and delivery of self-serve solutions

  • in a business environment), including underlying data source handling and ETL development
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of enterprise level databases, database architecture and SQL/BigQuery, Qliksense and NPrinting
  • Cloud Solutions exposure, preferrabley GCP
  • Story-telling with data - Strong communication skills clearly translating complex concepts relating to GBS and its stakeholders

  • Use data analytics: Uses knowledge and collection of data to support decisions.  Delivers  initiatives to improve data analytics in BT.
  • Give specialised advice: Offers advice and makes recommendations based on expertise, suggesting solutions and improvements.
  • Hold others to account: Understands expectations and manages themselves to high ethical and values standards. Will call out poor behaviour in others.

 

  • Able to manage expectations of several director level (n-3) stakeholders and effectively prioritise the workload / deliverables

 

Experience you would be expected to have

 

 

Preferred qualifications in BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions, specialising in Data Analytics or BSc (Hons) in Computer Science or BSc (Hons) in Information and Communication Technology, B.tech in Computer Science, B.tech in Information and Technology

 

Preferred domain experience and expertise in the Order to Cash life cycle, Procure to Pay and basic understanding of Debt and Cash management.
