Why this job matters:
The role holder is principally responsible for:
- Data build and Activation for 1st Layer + BIS and TTO
- Additional Activation per Layer + BIS and TTO
- Like for Like Swap per Site
- Site Vendor Swap per Site
- Cutover / Reparenting / Rehoming per Site
- Site performance checks and troubleshooting
Building MOP and SOP of new trails
Key responsibilities:
- New Technology Trials: Lead, plan, and execute network trials by working closely with Lab, Planning, Performance, and Deployment teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure alignment on trial objectives and outcomes.
- Process Development: Establish and refine processes for trial execution, evaluation, and transition to live deployment.
- Performance Analysis: Work with the Performance team to assess trial results, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and make data-driven recommendations.
- Deployment Readiness: Ensure all trial learnings are documented and integrated into deployment plans, enabling efficient rollout.
- Delivery Accountability: Take ownership of post-trial implementation, ensuring weekly, monthly, and yearly targets are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in current processes, drive enhancements, and support strategic initiatives to improve network efficiency and reliability.
- Network Configuration & Decommissioning: Manage the configuration and decommissioning of network resources for mobile networks.
- RAN Node Integration: Oversee the integration of RAN nodes and facilitate network equipment & card swaps for Huawei, Ericsson, and Nokia.
- Job Scheduling & Change Request Approval: Oversee job scheduling and ensure timely approval of change requests to maintain project timelines.
- Databuild & Integration: Manage databuild and integration of 2G, 4G, and 5G nodes from Nokia, Huawei, and Ericsson.
- Seamless RAN Integration: Ensure smooth integration of radio access network (RAN) equipment into the network.
- RANSOG Support: Provide support for activities performed by various MSOs, vendors, and suppliers.
- Issue Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues that arise during deployment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different teams to ensure the successful deployment of RAN equipment.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain detailed records of databuild configurations and integration processes.
- Technology Updates: Stay informed on the latest technologies and best practices in RAN integration.
- Vendor Interaction: Manage relationships with third-party telecom vendors involved in network operations.
- Circuit & Data Build Removal: Handle circuit removal in parallel with data build removal and confirm the process is complete for NTQ sites.
- Database Management: Update spectrum status to remove TOOS and set ACCPT/DECOM/DEACT.
Experience:
- Preferred B.E., B. Tech in telecom subjects / or any other equivalent technical graduation like BCA, MCA, MSc (IT) with good understanding of telecom & RAN network.
- Proven experience of more than 8 years in data build and integration of 2G, 4G, and 5G nodes of primarily in Nokia and Ericsson. Huawei will be an addon. Expert across all domains, like Databuild, Remote Integration and Performance team.
- Strong understanding of RAN architecture and protocols of Nokia and Ericsson nodes.
- Proficiency in network management tools and software of Nokia and Ericsson
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and meet deadlines.
Must have:
