Embedded within the Data Governance team, this role supports strategic data initiatives by defining and enforcing data quality standards, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in data quality practices.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement data quality frameworks aligned with governance policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, AI Act).
  • Define and maintain data quality rules, metrics, and thresholds (e.g. accuracy, completeness, timeliness).
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards to enforce data governance standards and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain control evidence and dashboards to support audit readiness and regulatory confidence.
  • Work closely with business units, IT, and platform teams to align data quality efforts with operational needs.
  • Provide training and guidance on data quality best practices and tools.
  • Act as a conduit between central governance and delivery units, ensuring consistent application of standards.

Experience you'll have

Essential:

  • Significant experience in data quality, governance, or data management roles within large enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with data quality and governance tools (e.g. Informatica, Ataccama, Talend, Dataplex, Abinitio, Databricks) and dashboarding platforms (e.g. Power BI, Qlik).
  • Proven track record in implementing data quality frameworks, including profiling, cleansing, monitoring, and validation.

Desirable:

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and internal governance standards.
  • Experience collaborating across business, IT, and compliance functions, including coaching data stewards and analysts.
  • Strategic capability to prioritise remediation efforts, influence governance forums, and embed quality into operational processes.
