The ESN will replace the existing Airwave network and building upon on EE’s existing 4G network and to provide essential new voice, data services, and critical communications services to 300,000 members of frontline emergency service users.


The Service Transition Professional role in Change Enablement is responsible for the management of technical Change and Access requests (currently focusing on ESN, Mobile and EETV) within our Operational Resilience and Service Management unit. You will ensure that requests for change to our technical and service infrastructure are implemented in a controlled, low risk manner enabling the smooth and effective running of the networks and all customer facing services.  You’ll be enabling not only solution implementation, but evolution at the right pace to manage the risk to our customers while delivering stand out service.


The successful candidate will be cleared to BPSS (or equivalent) as a minimum.  You may even be required to undergo National Security Vetting (e.g. CTC, SC or NPPV).

What you’ll be doing

•    Act as a subject matter expert and ensure that you operate our ITIL function process & procedures smoothly and efficiently to support business implementation or service restoration and reduce impact to customers
•    Responsible for preparing data for and running Change Advisory Board meetings with stakeholders
•    Responsible for supporting or leading on workstreams, initiatives and projects for the Change Enablement function, acting as a change agent to drive continual improvement
•    Support the development, operation and continual improvement of the wider Operational Resilience and Service Management strategy
•    Support contractual/regulatory/ISO compliance requirements on change record assessment

What we would like to see on your CV

•    Able to provide expertise around ITIL Change Enablement best practice, preferably with certification in ITIL V4 Foundation. Understanding of an ITIL Service Transition function in a large technology company
•    Excellent communication skills and experience of managing relationships of all levels with internal customers, stakeholders, and colleagues, addressing conflicting business needs and priorities
•    Able to follow change enablement processes, recognising the need to adapt to a rapidly shifting technical environment.  Proven improvement skills to analyse, question and challenge the way things are done to optimise processes and deliver excellent outcomes
•    Background in Change Management/Release Management functions and operational environments, with constantly changing timescales and requirements. Experience of Remedy SMT or equivalent Service Management tools
•    Experience of managing relationships with third-party partners and providers, working within Service Level Agreements

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
