What you’ll be doing

• Provide technology expertise to design and deliver Integration services as scalable containerized microservices.
• Make complex technical decisions on technology and architecture to
support the Microservices roadmap and migrations.

• Be the technical lead on migrating the existing microservices to AWS DCP environment, involves making complex technical decisions and technology choices.

• Will be expected to lead on the implementation of tools and automation processes to support continuous delivery and developer productivity.  
• The role will focus on best practices, technology, and delivering business value through high quality software.
• The role holder will write, test, and review code.  Where needed they will refine as needed and
communicate this to the wider Microservices dev team. 
• Deliver solutions that meet customer’s requirements, including necessary
design consultations, documentation, automated testing, deployments and in-life support and driving business performance, efficiency and continuous improvement within the team.
• Provide coaching and act as a mentor to
junior members of the Microservices team.

Skills

Mandatory technology skills:
•    10+ Years overall experience in the IT industry with expertise in
o    Java/J2EE
o    Spring Boot
o    Unix/Linux CLI
o    SOAP/ReST
o    Microservices Architecture
o    Containerization and Orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes
o    Automated Build, Deployments and Monitoring techniques
o    Developing & managing Cloud Native applications preferably on AWS
o    Managing Infrastructure as Code using frameworks such as Terraform/CloudFormation
•    Must be able to design & develop robust, reliable & performant applications which meet all the NFRs
•    Self-learner & keep yourself abreast of the business, technology & IT practice changes 
•    Interest in leading POCs for new technologies, analysing considerations, establishing standards and propagating to wider teams
•    Good to have knowledge in
o    build tools like Maven/Gradle
o    No-SQL (Mongo/Cassandra)
o    CI/CD tooling
o    Message Queues/Kafka
o    UI development using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular/React and Software Development Concepts: Understands and experienced with the use of a wide range of programming concepts and is also aware of and has applied a range of algorithms.
