Why this job matters
This role is all about managing, inlife, BTs meter points and the data of our energy estate. This then feeds into billing ensuring we accurately manage our bills (£290m+) and can take action to reduce our consumption further. The metering strategy is to transition to IP communication methods to help exit legacy platforms such as PSTN and GSM. There is an exciting opportunity to insource data collection as part of market wide changes from Non half hourly to half hourly metering and to shape the future of the metering platform to ensure industry compliance to the new standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain in-life metering, identifying and delivering process efficiency and improvement
- Deploy IP metering infrastructure underpinning exit from legacy communication
- Build a relationship with the industry regulators & suppliers to resolve issues
- Ensure Supplier Performance
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance
- Partake in annual external audits
