Finance Business Partner - Networks

Why this role matters
As a Finance Business Partner – Networks, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial insight and analysis to a key operational unit within the Networks division. You will work closely with the unit Director and Operational Managers to help them understand financial performance, make informed decisions, and meet their financial commitments.
What you'll be doing
- Support the Networks business in driving sustainable value by providing informed, insightful financial analysis that helps leaders make better decisions.
- Prepare, review and explain financial performance reports, ensuring clarity on drivers of performance and variance.
- Develop and support forecasts and budgets, contributing analysis and recommendations that improve overall performance and providing appropriate challenge where needed.
- Work collaboratively with operational and cross-functional teams to support cost efficiency, transformation initiatives and delivery of financial commitments.
- Maintain and improve high-quality financial models, datasets and analysis files, identifying risks, sensitivities and opportunities as they emerge.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with the unit director and operational managers, acting as a key finance partner in decision-making.
- Contribute to a data-led, insight-driven culture within the Networks finance team, sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement.
The skills you'll need
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with two or more years’ post-qualification experience.
- Strong financial analysis and performance management skills, with a track record of improving financial outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence, challenge and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
- Experience of driving cross-functional change and supporting cost efficiency or transformation initiatives.
- Technically strong accounting background with solid commercial awareness and strategic thinking ability.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance colleagues.
