The Tax Analyst, executesÃÂ Tax activities for the Group/Business Unit,ÃÂ acting as an expert tax authority, driving tax efficiencies inÃÂ accordance with best practiceÃÂ corporateÃÂ governance, and ensuringÃÂ effective risk mitigation, whilst providing leadership for the specialism,ÃÂ inÃÂ alignment with Group business objectives
What you’ll be doing
1. Supports the delivery of a range of tax activities that are covered by existing guidelines in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements, such as preparing and reviewing supporting tax calculations and annual corporate tax returns, ensuring its accuracy and completeness upon submission and payment
2. Analyses and researches the complex tax implications of legislative changes or business decisions and activities and reflects these in tax returns and other tax-related documents as required by law and regulation
3. Prepares transfer pricing supporting documents to comply with tax requirements
4. Supports the building of relationships with external tax authorities and advisers and assists independent auditors and the financial control team on tax and financial audits
5. Supports the identification and management of risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, raising any concerns as appropriate
6. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within area of responsibility and communicate issues and areas for improvement to business unit/area managers such as through supporting resolution of any data issues impacting productivity or compliance
7. Keeps knowledge up to date on emerging trends and changes in tax principles and practices, sharing with team members
