You'll have the following responsibilities

 

To help BTs Customer satisfaction with regard to service and cost BT needs to transform its systems estate to become more flexible and cheaper to build and operate. Supply Chain is a core function of the company delivering Millions of orders a year for both external customers and internal customers such as engineers and there is a large IT estate in need of modernising and replacing. This Job will support the transformation by identifying areas to improve and designing the solutions that simplify the landscape and  improve performance and increase efficiency.


•    Help define Architectural roadmaps in the Supply Chain space
•    Take the technical lead on incorporating new technology into the Supply Chain stack and where Supply Chain is engaged in bidding processes.  
•    Create Solutions that align to the architectural roadmap to reduce complexity and cost over time.
•    Ensure lower level designers adhere to the architecture and the governance processes of ACF, SACS and regulatory consideration
•    Understand and champion new technical opportunities in Supply Chain and the wider area

 

You'll have the following skills and experience

 

•  Creates and owns technical solutions for a domain, cross domain or portfolio of work within a specific technology area and delivers work autonomously.
•  Integrates and implements end-to-end solutions across customers and business areas.
•  Executes technical roadmap for specific area or domain.
•  Provides recommendation on development budget for the next year by understanding/explaining the technology evolution of the product/system/process etc.
•  Leads on design assurance before integrating into end to end solutions
•  Consults and advises senior stakeholders, internally and in a multi-vendor environment, (Chief Architect/ Vice-president level). Will be the BT solution lead from a customer perspective and act as a customer champion
•  Recognised as a key contributor and provide expert advice to other groups on technical and operational issues.
•  Solution Architecture Skills - strong skills and knowledge in Solution Architecture, ideally with knowledge in one or more of the following business capability / process areas – Supply Chain, SAP, ERP,  integration design, complex transformations, data architecture.
Awareness and experience in architecture governance processes and controls
•  Ways of Working: Human Centred Design and Agile project experience, bringing solution architecture to live within these processes.  
Strong collaborator not afraid to challenge stakeholders where necessary
•  Technology design - You partner with the business to understand and analyse user requirements and inform the architecture design for software, systems and networks.
•  Product and service knowledge - You demonstrate subject matter expertise in complex, technical infrastructure, products and services. You develop bespoke solutions to meet short, medium and long-term customer needs.
•  Creating Solution Architectures in complex  environments with demanding stakeholders
• Supply Chain understanding.  
ERP  knowledge,  ideally with SAP experience. 
•    You build networks inside and outside of the business with stakeholders who share in the business unit agenda, removing barriers to collaboration. You develop great working relationships with stakeholders, sharing knowledge and collaborating.
•    You create inspiring messages, for stakeholders and teams, linking and explaining programmes of activity and work, considering different perspectives and delivering simple communications.
•    You lead complex change programmes, supporting teams to perform effectively in all circumstances. You support change initiatives locally, adapting quickly and delivering change effectively.
