The People & Culture Partner role involves strategically consulting with leaders and employees, using empathy, constructive challenge, curiosity, and a growth mindset to influence decisions, negotiate outcomes, and drive positive organisational change.

What you’ll be doing

•Develops a deep understanding of the business unit’s strategy, goals, and challenges to deliver relevant, impactful HR solutions. Provides proactive, data-driven insights to shape business decisions and drive the people strategy.
•Builds and maintains strong relationships across all levels of the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders. Translates business objectives into actionable HR initiatives and facilitates seamless communication, decision-making, and resolution of people-related issues impacting business success.
•Acts as a consultant and coach to managers, providing expert guidance on HR policies, processes, and compliance, ensuring alignment with business practices and legal requirements.
•Partners with line managers and People & HR Services to effectively manage employee absence, ensuring policy compliance, analysing trends to identify root causes, and implementing proactive strategies to minimise disruption and promote employee well-being.
•Provides strategic support on talent initiatives aligned with business objectives, collaborating with Centres of Expertise and managers to attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing workforce.
•Contributes to organisational effectiveness initiatives, ensuring successful implementation of new structures, roles, and processes that meet business needs.
•Serves as an HR expert, continuously enhancing knowledge and staying informed on industry trends and best practices. Embraces HR technology to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
•Leverages data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programmes, inform strategic decisions, and provide business leaders with data-driven recommendations.
•As part of an agile People & Culture function, participates in cross-functional projects, contributing expertise beyond primary specialisation to deliver value across multiple HR domains.

•Proven experience as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with leaders and teams to influence decisions, navigate complexity, and drive business performance.
•Strong understanding of business strategy and commercial drivers, using insight to shape people decisions.
•Ability to inspire, set clear expectations, and communicate actions with clarity and impact.
•Skilled in designing, delivering, and embedding change initiatives that add business value.
•Experience coaching leaders and employees to enhance performance and achieve personal or professional goals.
•Understanding of pay structures and benefits, ensuring fair and competitive reward practices.
•Skilled in maintaining positive relationships and resolving issues constructively.
•Ability to interpret people data, balance competing priorities, and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
•Aligns people plans with future business needs and long-term goals.
•Creates an environment that supports high performance through regular feedback and alignment with strategy.
•Values diverse perspectives, ensuring inclusion is embedded in teams, policies, and practices.
