This role is crucial as BT is committed to contractual, service-probability-based coverage deliverables, which will undergo unprecedented scrutiny and assurance. You will be responsible for ensuring that ESN coverage deliverables and projects are executed with high quality and contractual compliance, fostering confidence among end users.
Your impact will bridge ESN portfolios and projects, promoting a consistent approach and ensuring alignment at the assurance level. You will be vital in securing final contractual compliance sign-off from the Home Office on the coverage and service probability requirements that BT is dedicated to delivering.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead on Coverage Assurance related activity within ESN.
- Lead on the implementation of the ESN Coverage Assurance Test Plans and Coverage Assurance Methodologies. Ensure the ESN Coverage Assurance mobilisations are of High Quality, Implementable and Assured.
- Support and Assure ESN activity to procure appropriate drive test services from the marketplace.
- Function as Coverage Assurance point of contact for ESN directors, ESN and project colleagues, Home Office colleagues and ESN End Users and other ESN delivery partners.
- Communicate the ESN Coverage Assurance Test Plans to ESN End User community in support of ESN Service and ESN Communications teams.
- Lead on the assurance of all coverage drive testing services for ESN assuring its design, implementation, execution, results, conclusions, and communications.
- Accountable for the assurance of the ESN Radio Plan and the changing ESN Site count and the compliance assessment of ESN coverage predictions and the ESN site delivery plans.
- Accountable for Assurance of the activities of the ESN Coverage Assurance Portfolio, spanning ESN Coverage Portal, MDT, GEO, ESN Assure, ESN Gap Fix, ESN projects and ESN Service Probability Drive Testing.
- Ensure all ESN Coverage Assurances activities strategies, plans, procurements, processes, and tools are commensurate with BT standards and recommendations to an appropriate level.
- Assure all information datasets shared with Home Office relating to contractual coverage compliance. Assure the design, procurement, build, and information presented of all ESN coverage visualisation portals.
- Assist Home Office and other ESN partner organisations in driving improvement in their coverage assurance activities and alignments.
- Support BT to build and Integrate QA processes and procedures across Mobile Innovation and RAN related to Coverage Testing and Coverage Assurance on Key projects.
- Drive improvement in how BT/EE enact Coverage assurance activities for ESN. Ensure continuous improvement of ESN Coverage Assurance processes and drive improvement in how BT/EE communicate and share findings from ESN coverage Assurance activities.
- Provide support and advice to the ESN Directors, particularly, Service Director, Coverage Delivery Director, and ESN commercial Director in their work and engagements. Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration on all aspects of ESN coverage Assurance activity.
What you'll bring
Mandatory
- Subject Matter Expert in coverage testing and coverage data analysis techniques.
- Demonstrable experience in coverage testing, including data interrogation, validation, and integration at a management level.
- Experience & knowledge of coverage assurance technologies and solutions.
- Understanding of testing best practices and assurance governance.
- Ability to analyse, assess and assure technical and business projects and solutions against technical and business requirements and contracts.
- Effective communication skills to clarify complex issues, influence Director-level decision-making, and articulate business processes and technical proposals to customers and end users.
- Proven ability to build robust relationships with key internal and external stakeholders while collaborating with development teams and suppliers to implement innovative technologies for continuous improvement.
- Experience in driving, leading, and guiding third-party suppliers effectively.
Nice to have
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, Computing, Telecommunications.
- Expert level understanding of the factors shaping LTE coverage.
- To define effective and efficient test architecture and delivery methodologies, procurements, and improvements.
- Ability to define effective test architectures, work with development teams and suppliers to implement innovative technologies.
