About EE

We’re EE. We are the biggest mobile and broadband operator in the UK and we have a relationship in every second household in the country. But we’re for everyone, on any network – serving up new tech, new services, and heaps of inspiration for every aspect of your connected life.

We’ve been awarded the UK’s best network for the last 10 years. It’s central to our vision – to be the most personal customer-focused technology company in the UK.

That means earning a place on customers’ home screens by offering them more than ever before, whether that’s helping their home run smarter with EE Home, levelling up their play with EE Game, helping them work on their terms with EE Work, or even unleashing their kids’ learning with EE Learn.

We’re also part of BT Group, which we’re even bigger than you might think. Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.

We think we’ve got something special here. We want everyone to feel proud about working at EE – and feel excited about where we’re going and what we’re going to do. Want to join in?

Why this job matters

The Scrum Master Specialist executes a range of workstreams in delivering Scrum processes, ensuring that Scrum and related practices are understood and enacted across teams and are supported across the group.

We’re seeking someone collaborative and delivery-focused to join our Analytical Data Product and Visualisation team. You'll help our team deliver impactful commercial data products and self-serve dashboards efficiently, while embracing agile principles and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with data specialists, analysts, product owners, and commercial stakeholders to drive agile delivery across multiple workstreams. You’ll also support the team as it explores emerging innovations such as agentic AI and natural language technologies, which are reshaping how users engage with data and analytics across BT.

Please be aware this is a fixed term opportunity lasting until March '26.

What you’ll be doing

•    Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews) for one or more delivery squads.
•    Support the delivery of high-value data products and self-serve dashboards that meet commercial needs and strategic objectives.
•    Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth delivery and team progress.
•    Work closely with product owners to ensure the backlog is well-groomed, prioritised, and aligned with business goals.
•    Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, feedback, and adaptation.
•    Monitor team metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.
•    Act as an agile coach within the team, helping team members and stakeholders understand and adopt agile ways of working.
•    Support cross-team collaboration and alignment across analytics, data engineering, and commercial functions.
•    Contribute to scaling agile practices as the team evolves its capabilities around AI-driven and natural language-based analytics.

Experience Required

•    Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a data, analytics, or software delivery environment.
•    Background in analytics, data products, or working in a telecommunications or commercial delivery environment.
•    Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, including agile planning and estimation.
•    Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Experience working with data teams or in analytics product delivery, preferably involving tools like SQL, GCP, Qlik, or similar.
•    Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and foster collaboration across technical and commercial teams.
•    Experience in scaled agile environments (e.g., SAFe) is a plus.

DON'T MEET EVERY SINGLE REQUIREMENT?

Studies have shown that women and people who are disabled, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse or from ethnic minority backgrounds are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification and criteria.

We're committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace where everyone can be their best, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every requirement on the Job Description, please apply anyway - you may just be the right candidate for this or other roles in our wider team.
