What you'll do:

• Be a key supporter in the ISSCA (Industry Security Standards Certification Assurance) team to maintain our PCI compliance, as well as working with other frameworks (such as ISO 27001).
• Join discussions around internal business processes where you’ll bring a keen eye for compliance.
• Assist on customer contracts where we have compliance obligations, so our sales teams can make the most informed risk decisions.
• Keep on top of compliance framework changes and keep the key people informed, so we’re up to date with the latest standards.
• Speak up when you see training opportunities that could strengthen our compliance posture.
• Continue to develop BT’s compliance posture, as well as developing your own skills.
• Assist with scoping and scheduling assessments, as well as the ad-hoc audits across BT Group.

What you bring to the table:

• You’re efficient, enthusiastic and you take a proactive approach to problem solving, whether as a team or independently. You meet your deadlines and keep your stakeholders engaged and informed.
• You’re honest and pride yourself on your integrity to always do the right thing.
• Have a cloud certification like AWS.
• Be experienced with Cloud, Virtualisation, Network Firewalls, Mobile Applications, Web Application Firewalls, Antivirus Solutions, Data Loss Prevention products, encryption technologies and software development life cycles.
• You have a certification like CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or similar.
• You’re comfortable completing assessments and reviews- like gap assessments and risk assessments – and working to a framework.
• You’re familiar with enterprise, hybrid and cloud environments, as well as a variety of technologies (such as, but not limited to, virtualisation, network firewalls, and anti-virus solutions).
• You’re a great communicator and confident explaining to a wide audience on something that might be outside their normal day-to-day, especially on things like best practise.

You might even:

• You’ve got an active PCI QSA qualification (For the right candidate, this certification can be supported by BT in role).
• Have explained web and/or mobile application security to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understand current application development and management methods and solutions, like DevOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, etc.
• Know how to read a fundamental programming language like JavaScript or Python, or be familiar with APIs and SDKs.
• Have experience working directly with the Executive Committee (ExCo).
