Why this Role Matters
As a Telecoms Engineer in the Highlands and Islands, you’ll play a crucial role in connecting some of Scotland’s most remote and hard-to-reach communities to full fibre broadband. Your work directly supports local economies, helps people access jobs and services without needing to relocate, and ensures that no community is left behind in the UK’s digital future.

This is more than just an engineering role, it’s about making a real difference. Whether you're crossing rugged terrain, navigating island coastlines, or climbing hillsides, you’ll be delivering the infrastructure and connections that keeps people and businesses connected, wherever they are.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be part of a dynamic and skilled field team, working hands-on to build, maintain, Install and repair fibre connections across the Highlands and Islands. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, from engineering solutions in the most remote corners of Scotland to supporting local customers face to face.

You’ll work independently and as part of a wider team, using your technical expertise and creativity to overcome both the engineering and environmental demands of the landscape. Your work will help power rural innovation and give people the freedom to live and work where they choose,  without compromise.
